Overview

At 345 acres, Singletary Pond is a great pond where Millbury meets Sutton, roughly 2 miles southwest of Millbury center, and a go-to lake for Worcester-area boaters and anglers. It averages 18 feet deep (37 max) with roughly 10 feet of visibility. The bottom is mostly rock, with boulder piles, scattered submerged weeds, and emergent plants mainly in the north and south coves. Homes line most of the shore.

Fishing

Trout and bass are the main attractions. Perch and crappie are abundant, with crappie over 3 pounds reported. Smallmouth roam most of the rocky shoreline. Boaters should work the drop-offs around the islands and the submerged shoals. Award fish include largemouth bass, chain pickerel, black crappie, yellow and white perch, bullhead, and rainbow and tiger trout.
